At Bloom Partners, we live and breathe digital. For one of our clients in the health and lifestyle market we are looking for a Director Product. The Director Product is a global role and hence an integral part of the Product Team, responsible for product project management, raw material specification / management and technical support for internal departments / external vendors. The position will manage timelines and tasks and coordinate meetings with other project team members toward on time and on budget completion of specific projects. This position is located at the company’s offices in Hammersmith, UK.

Your Career

As the Director, Product you will be driving our global innovation program as well as communicating product information to the sales field, customers and internal personnel:

  • Manage global product innovation/renovation program
  • Adhere to a comprehensive product development process which drives agile, collaborative development
  • Effectively and accurately coordinate and communicate project status/information to management and other team members
  • Identify, qualify, and manage raw materials for all product brands  Provide technical management support to vendors
  • Work with vendors to manage project details and implementation
  • Speak on behalf of the company at industry and company sponsored events
  • Participate in quality control / specification management process
  • Role could evolve to a broader spectrum based on needs and individual knowledge, skills and abilities

Your Profile

The successful candidate is highly experienced in product development processes, holds a university degree, gained professional experience in food science/nutrition of consumer centric brands, and is fluent in German, English and Italian. In line with our client’s values, you are an excellent fit if you combine the following traits:

  • BS, preferably in field of science or nutrition
  • Advanced degree in food science/nutrition or commensurate experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in food/nutrition industry
  • International experience required, especially Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Southeast Asia
  • Ability to work independently and with urgency, in a high paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Multi-lingual is preferred (English, German, Italian are primary languages)
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong critical/creative thought processes and ability to foresee and overcome obstacles
  • Willingness to travel for support of vendors and raw material suppliers as well as to team meetings and conferences
